English Classes: Daily Activities |
Manchester United is a club with a long tradition of developing young footballers. From the Busby Babes in the 1950s to the class of ’92 under Sir Alex Ferguson, the club has a proven track record of producing home-grown talent. Times may have changed but the philosophy remains the same; to nurture young talent and turn them into first team and hopefully international footballers.
United’s dedication to youth development runs throughout the whole club. From the first team to the Academy teams to Manchester United Soccer Schools, all the coaching staff at Manchester United share the same vision; to coach players to produce high quality attacking and exciting football.
MUSS objective is for each individual to attain their optimum level of performance and benefit from being coached the ‘Manchester United Way’.
All activity is directed to the developmental age of the participant. Programmes will be challenging but achievable, guaranteeing that each child leaves the course with a raised self esteem and most importantly having experienced fun and enjoyment.
The Manchester United Soccer Schools team are expert coaches. They have all been through a rigorous qualification and selection process in order to guarantee the quality of the coaching delivered to each and every player. They have experience of coaching children of all nationalities and abilities and in 2011 over 2000 children from more than 80 different countries attended a Manchester United Soccer Schools residential camp. The residential camps are a complete global soccer environment with English being the spoken language.
Special goalkeeper training sessions available at Myerscough College during the July 15 - 28 session:

United have always placed an emphasis on finding the right man for the number one.

| English Language Classes: |
MUSS English language classes are created by Oxford University Press, world leaders in publishing educational materials for students of all ages and they offer a tailor-made curriculum focused around soccer.
The curriculum is designed in such a way that students will be learning more effectively because the subjects covered in the lessons are all related to something they are already interested in.
All this will be delivered by high-quality and enthusiastic teachers, who will motivate children throughout the lessons.
At the start of the course each student is given a short English language test to determine their ability.
This enables MUSS course directors to place each student into classes of 16, with other students who are at the same level.
At the end of the programme all the students will be able to see clear improvements in their level of English language skills. Students will take home their English language workbook to show their parents and friends all the new things they have learned on the camp.
