Manchester United is a club with a long tradition of developing young footballers. From the Busby Babes in the 1950s to the class of '92 under Sir Alex Ferguson, the club has a proven track record of producing home-grown talent. Times may have changed but the philosophy remains the same; to nurture young talent and turn them into first team and hopefully international footballers.
United's dedication to youth development runs throughout the whole club. From the first team to the Academy teams to Manchester United Soccer Schools (MUSS), all the coaching staff at Manchester United share the same vision; to coach players to produce high quality attacking and exciting football.
The Manchester United Soccer Schools camps are based on Manchester United's Academy programme, but are delivered in a way that young players of all abilities can 'Learn to Play the United Way'.
All activity is directed to the developmental age of the participant. Programmes will be challenging but achievable, guaranteeing that each child leaves the camp with a raised self esteem and most importantly having experienced fun and enjoyment.
The Manchester United Soccer Schools team are expert coaches. They have all been through a rigorous qualification and selection process in order to guarantee the quality of the coaching delivered to each and every player. They have experience of coaching children of all nationalities and abilities. In 2012, over 1600 children from more than 70 different countries attended a Manchester United Soccer Schools residential camp!
During your stay with Manchester United Soccer Schools, you'll be given the opportunity to experience the Theatre of Dreams, Old Trafford Manchester United Stadium, the Manchester United Megastore and the Manchester United interactive Museum (Friday).
Manchester United Soccer Schools is able to hold the Closing Presentation Ceremony inside the Famous Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester each Friday (parents are welcome too!), a once in a life time MU experience!
Manchester United Soccer Schools operates its residential soccer camps in the heart of the English countryside, providing a safe and secure environment, with accommodation, meals and other leisure activities all on one site. These fantastic camps will give each player a fascinating insight into how Manchester United prepare their youngsters enabling them to reach their optimum level of performance.
Manchester United Soccer Schools have designed camps to meet the developmental needs of young players across the following age groups:
- Junior: 8 - 11 year olds
- Senior: 12 - 16 year olds
- Youth Player: 17 - 18 year olds
- Girls Only: 8 - 16 year olds
- Goalkeeper: 8 - 16 year olds
Players must be the relevant age for the duration of the camp.
Residential Camp soccer sessions only.
Every six day course will be delivered using the Manchester United Soccer Schools Development Model with top of the line Equipment

| Ever Wanted to Play at Old Trafford? |
Each Manchester United Soccer Schools participant will have a shot at it.
Compete in one of MUSS skills challenges – held at every camp - and you could be walking out in front of 76,000 fans at the World Skills Final at Old Trafford!
Designed by the club's coaches and players, the skills challenges allow every player, regardless of age, to compete on level terms.
One player from each MUSS Residential course will be selected to experience a once in a lifetime prize at the World Skills Final held in Manchester (around October/November) every year. This event includes the following:
- Tour of the Trafford Training Centre, Carrington - where the 1st team train
- Participate in the World Skills competition
- Play on the famous Old Trafford pitch
- Attend a Premier League game
- Watch Manchester United Academy games
- Hotel accommodation for you and parent or guardian (flights & transfers are not included)
The challenges are also a great way to improve your skills. If you can practice these techniques in your spare time you will give yourself a great chance of developing into a better player.
