When and where participants have to arrive/depart?
Arrival: Barcelona airport July 7 from 8am to 12noon.
Departure: Barcelona airport July 20 from 8am to 12noon.
Personal drop off: at the residence July 7 from 3pm to 6 pm.
Personal pick up: July 20 from 10:00am to 12:00noon.

How do you manage an underage traveling?
When you purchase the airline ticket you have to specify that there will be an underage traveling kid (UM, Unaccompanied Minor) and the airline will get you the details on the trip. You must pay the full amount for the round trip to the airline.
The camp will provide you the needed information on the adult who will pick up the participant at the airport.

How does the airport transfer work?
All the participants are picked up at the airport unless specificity by the family members. In that case, there is a personal drop off option at the residence.

Do I need a visa?
No visa is required for UE, US or Canada passport holders, for a stay up to three months. If you are not of the mentioned countries, please contact the Embassy or Consulate of Spain in your country regarding visa requirements.

Do I need inoculations?
No inoculations are required when traveling between Europe, the United States or Canada and Spain.

How much money should I give to my child?
No money is necessary for the camp development. the camp recommend just money for soft drinks, souvenirs and miscellaneous.

Do I need to get insurance?
The camp has a basic insurance for participants but, the camp strongly encourage you to purchase cancellation and interruption insurance and additional health insurance to protect against financial loss from unforeseen accidents, illness, and/or loss of baggage.

How is the accommodation? How do you assign the rooms?
Double rooms to be shared with other participants with in suite bathroom.
The rooms will be assigned by ages.

Are the bathroom and lavatory located in each bedroom?
Yes, full-equipped bathrooms are located at the same bedroom.

Are sheets/pillows provided by the residence?
The residence provides towels (changed twice a week) and sheets/pillows that are changed once a week.

Is there internet access for children to send email to their parents?
The residence has computers available for the kids and there is WiFi available on the whole residence. However, the camp will assign a specific period to use Internet and a counselor will be around to check on the participants.

How about the meals at the residence?
Participants will have breakfast and dinner at the residence. Both meals are buffet. Special diet if specified by parents.

Where can children leave their values?
The camp strongly recommends not to bring valuable items; they can be left either on a safe deposit or with the camp director.

Are parents allowed to visit during camp?
Parents can visit participants on the residence under previous notice and in a specific schedule.

Where do the trainings takes place?
The training sessions take place at the RCD Espanyol Sporting City.

How do you set up the practice groups on the first day?
At the very beginning participants will be separated by age but afterwards the coaches will move them around depending on their skills.

The practice field, is it natural grass or artificial turf?
Both natural grass and artificial turf.

Where do participants get their lunch? Can they buy extra snacks?
The training facilities has its own cafeteria and its own catering service. The camp does not recommend that participants get extra snacks.

Are parents allowed to visit during training?
Parents can visit training sessions if they don’t interfere in the process of the program.

What does it mean, “scouting staff will be on site evaluating players”?
As a professional club, RCD Espanyol is always looking for young talented players, they will observe training sessions and if one participant is exceptionally good the club could contact the participant. If not, no notifications will be made.

What is the ratio coach/players?
10-12 players per coach.

What other activities are besides training?
The camp counselors will run night activities and during the weekend the camp will have day trips, stadium tours, city tours, etc…

What language coaches and counselors will speak?
English and Spanish.

Do you have a public telephone at the residence?
There is a public telephone at the front desk area; participants can call using a phone card (National calls are free).

Are cell phones allowed all the time during camp?
Cell phones have to be left at the residence with the counselor. Phones can be used on their free time in the afternoon.

When is the best time to call?
The camp strongly recommends you to call during participants’ free time that is from 6:30pm to 8:30 pm Spanish time.

How can I contact the camp staff?
You can call the office anytime (telephone numbers will be provided before camp start). We will provide you with the camp director contact number. For emergencies see below.

Are any forbidden items at camp?
Alcohol, drugs and tobacco are strictly forbidden during camp.

How do you manage a participant misbehavior?
Participants must respect the other participants and camp staff and follow the daily planning of the camp and rules. Any serious misbehavior will be subject to immediate expulsion. Parent or Guardian will be immediately notified and will have to purchase the return ticket.

Where can I call for an emergency? Other phone numbers?
In case you have an emergency and you need to contact the camp, you can call the camp at the office or the Director at any time (telephone numbers will be provided before camp start).
