Vichy, Town of Water, located in the center of
France, became the City of Sports
over the years. It
offers exceptional resources: Basketball, Soccer,
Golf, Tennis, but also canoe, rafting, sailing ... a
great site for children but also for their
parents.
The
Sports Elite Jeunes (SEJ)
Camps have been established at Vichy since 1979,
with 5 different sites in the town. SEJ is a pioneer
in sports camps in France and have more than 30
years of experience.
You will learn French in the
morning with one of the top language school in Vichy (Cavilam)
and practice your soccer sessions in the afternoon.
FRENCH CLASSES:

Every Morning (5 days a week), you will have 3
Hours of French (30 hours total) taught by certified
foreign language graduate teachers from the Cavilam. All
children will be group based on their knowledge of
the French language (8 to 12 maximum per class).
You need to have some French
learning experience to participate in this course (not
for debutant).
Everyday you will
4 workshops:
 Lab;
Video;
Grammar
and Vocabulary;
Role
games.
All participants are involved at all times.
Test
are done on arrival and individual assessment are sent to the
parents after the camp to emphasize progress of each
child.
Objectives :
Progress rapidly, in oral skills using authentic audio and video
documents, and high-tech multimedia laboratories.

Campers will practice at the
CREPS of Vichy
who is specialized in sports activities. It is located inside the Parc Omnisports close to the Golf practice . There is an 18 hole
golf course close by.
The Parc Omnisports is a vast complex of 100 acres, unique in
Europe. It offers a rare diversity of sporting installations. There
is a water area, 20 Tennis courts, 10 soccer and Rugby fields, a
gymnasium, a fencing room, a movie theatre with 400 seats and a
medical center.
Campers will stay in facilities located at
the CREPS:
The excellent conditions of the campus in Vichy allow
SEJ to give you the best variety of entertainment.
After your soccer camp, you can relax or go to SEJ own disco, nightly
shows, and a lot more.

The soccer program has been prepared and supervised by Alain Michel
(former
professional Coach from the team of Saint Etienne (France League 1) and Grenoble (France League 2).
All participants will be expected to take an active role in this element,
so it is advised that students have a good level of fitness before they
attend.
Every
Afternoon (5 days a week), you will have the
following instructions:
group
work for individual and group play;
exercises
with tactics and techniques (games with 2, 3, 7 and 11
players);
workshop
by position: forward, midfield, defense, goalkeeper;
conference and technical forums
tournaments and final Alls Star Games
On the first day, groups are established based on age and ability.
Campers will have about 3 hours of soccer per day.
Practices and activities are taught by qualified
certified coaches of SEJ
Leisure time includes: Basket ball, badminton, tennis,
Ping-Pong, swimming, visit the city of Vichy, games,
evening parties.
During the
weekend, there are no practices
only rest time, fun games or local excursions.
One day during the week, children go to the swimming pool in the afternoon between
15:00 and 17:00.

AIRPORT
TRANSFER INFORMATION
SEJ provides a transfer service from
Paris Roissy (CDG) International Airport to the camp. The service
includes Paris CDG airport
transfer accompanied to Paris Gare de Lyon or Paris Bercy train station roundtrip and a
roundtrip train ticket accompanied from Paris to Vichy.
For your
child to be able to make the transfer, he/she needs to arrive at
the airport on the day the camp starts (Wednesday) no later than 9:30am in
the morning at Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport (the train
leaving from Paris at around 12:30noon) and if you need a
transfer for the return, he/she needs to have a flight departing
(Tuesday)
after 8:30pm because the train arrives at Paris Gare de Lyon or
Paris Bercy
train station from Vichy
at around 4:45pm.
If your child cannot arrive at the hours
previously mentioned, you can have the following option
available: since the camp start at 5pm on Wednesday and the drop off when
they leave is 11am on Tuesday and only if there is a conflict with your
child flights, the camp has planned to
accompanied your child the day (afternoon flight arrival and
night stay near CDG airport in Paris) before the start of the camp and
the day after the camp (night stay near CDG airport in Paris, flight
departure the following morning) (see extra night fee at Paris CDG airport above).
With this option, your
child will have a smooth transfer from Paris airport to the camp
in Vichy and will be accompanied at all times by a SEJ staff
member.
All transfers must be pre-arranged. After collecting
their luggage, students proceed through customs. Students are
then met by a representative of SEJ Camps who will be displaying
a prominent sign or T-shirt. From here students will be
transferred to the Paris Gare de Lyon or Paris Bercy train station where they
will take a train to Vichy and then on to the camp center. This
service is accompanied at all times by a SEJ member.
It is of vital
importance that all necessary flight/train details are sent to Soccer Camps International with the booking form. SEJ Camps requires the exact flight
information, including dates, airlines, flight numbers and
flight times. This service must be booked no later than 6 weeks
prior to the start of the course.
All the France camps are taught in French only,
however, a few coaches speak some English. For many years, we have
participants coming from all over the world and a lot of them do not
speak French but accommodate very well to the camp as there is no
language barrier.
Mandatory French Law Requirement for Sports
Camps in France:
The camp requires a
doctor's medical certificate attesting that the participant is physically able
to participate fully in all sports activities during the camp.
