INTRODUCTION:

Welcome to the official training soccer camp of the Paris Saint Germain ("PSG") soccer team of the France League 1 championship.  Paris Saint Germain are 2 times French National Champions, 7 times winner of the France National Cup and winner of the European Winners Cup (former club of Ronaldinho and Anelka).

 

Get ready to experience Professional Soccer Academy life with one of the best France soccer team of the past 30 years. You will have one day soccer training visit (usually on Wednesday) when you will be able to see the Professional players of PSG (subject to availability of practices) during  a practice  at the "Camp des Loges", PSG Professional training center. You will also have a guided tour of this wonderful training center. You will have a private access to the practice to see the Professional players at close range and request autographs. You will see the stars who makes PSG such a great France soccer team, stars like Claude Makelele, Ludovic Giuly, and the goalkeeper Michael Landreau. The same day, there is a special tour of the "Parc des Princes", home stadium of PSG in Paris. You will spend a full week learning new skills from the Youth Academy and make new friends too.

 

NEW FOR 2010: SPECIAL 2 WEEKS SESSION:

In 2010, Paris Saint Germain Soccer Academy will be offering, in addition to the regular summer camp sessions, a Special 2 Weeks session for Boys and Girls (12 - 18) with Optional French classes from Sunday July 4 to Saturday July 17.

 

This special Soccer and French classes (optional) summer session will offer a spectacular program for all foreign players willing to experience French culture near Paris, the City of Lights.

 

This additional soccer and language session will be located on the same site as the regular PSG Soccer Academy summer camps near Paris (see details further down) and this program will include:

• All options mentioned hereunder for the regular PSG Soccer Academy Summer Camps during the month of July

• A full day visit of Paris on Saturday (excursion to: the Eiffel Tower (you will see Paris from the top of this unforgettable French monument), Notre Dame of Paris Cathedral, the World Famous Avenue of the Champs-Elysees, the Arc of Triumph, the Sacre Coeur Basilica of Paris, the Louvre etc..)

• A full day at Disneyland Paris ( last Thursday)

• Paris by night tour on a boat on the River Seine

• Fireworks night show in Versailles Palace on France Bastille day (Wednesday July 14)

• Visit of PSG stadium (Parc des Princes)

• Visit to the PSG training center to meet with the players (based on players availability)

• 20 hours of French classes (morning), this is optional only and if not chosen will be replaced by a regular soccer training session

• 20 hours of Soccer Training/Games (afternoon)

• Medical and travel insurance (contact us for details)

• Roundtrip Airport transfer from Paris CDG airport to the training site (arrival on Sunday July 4 - departure on Saturday July 17)

The French classes are only offer as an option which you can select at registration. There is no additional fees for the language classes.

 

Based on the above camp inclusion, we expect this camp to be very popular for foreign students willing to perfect their soccer skills and develop their French knowledge.

French classes will be in a maximum group of 12 student per classes with one French teacher certified in French as a Foreign Language course per group. Foreign participants will be able to communicate with French participants and learn the French culture during the camp as many French players will be participating at the PSG Soccer Academy regular summer sessions located on the same site.

 

During the first week of the camp, all students will be able to watch the soccer games (semi final and final game) of the FIFA 2010 World Cup in South Africa and experience the passion of the biggest sport event in the world in France who will be participating at this Worldwide Global sport event.

 

The first 15 participants register for this special 2 weeks session will receive an Official Jersey of the Paris Saint Germain Premier team during their stay.

The regular PSG Soccer Academy Summer sessions have a large number of French players (more than 80% on average)

CAMP SITE:

 

 

 

 

CAMP DAILY ACTIVITIES:

The soccer course will be comprehensive, covering all elements of the game including techniques, skills, phases of play, small sided games, and full 11 v 11 games for some of the older players. In the late afternoon, you will play everyday a tournament of Champions (except on Wednesday, excursion day). All participants will be expected to take an active role in this element, so it is advised that students have a good level of fitness before they attend.

 

• On the first day, groups are established based on age and ability;
   

• Campers will have on average between 5 to 6 hours of soccer per day.

Children will be considered as equal to the PROS and will live their daily camp life:

• Welcome by the camp director
   

• Technical and sports evaluation test on arrival
   

• Individual report  for each child to measure his progress
   

• NIKE PSG Soccer Academy sports equipment (2 training jersey, 2 pairs of shorts, 2 pairs of socks, 1 sports bag, 1 t-shirt and 1 training suit)

What you should expect during the practices:

• 2 daily training sessions during the week (except on Wednesday, excursion day):
   

  • Morning training: team warm up, ball handling, technical workshop (pass control, ball control, dribble, shot), tactical workshop (offense - defense)
     

  • Afternoon training: application of skills learned in the morning during tournaments
     

• 2 training programs for the 7 - 12 years old and 13 - 16 years old
   

• Specific goalkeeper practice (mornings only)
   

• The program is adapted to the trainee’s level (age, physical condition…)
   

• For one week, the trainees will live the experience of the PSG young professionals and the Pros at the Training Center.
   

Your typical Monday thru Friday (Wednesday is excursion day to Stadium and Pro practice) program will be as follows  (subject to change):

22:00: Bed time (schedule could change slightly based on weather and time scheduling)

 

Practices and activities are taught by qualified certified coaches of PSG Youth Academy.

 

 

PSG Soccer Academy staff make sure all kids feel comfortable and in security during the camp. Their mission is to develop the technical and physical aptitudes of each child and their way of living in groups.

 

The staffing is as follows:

• A Project Director guarantee the PSG image and professionalism of the coaches and staff.
   

• A camp director available on site 24H/24H, responsible of the coaches and staff.
   

• The coaches are in charge of the technical and tactical exercises. 1 coach per 10-12 trainees.
  100% of them have a state licence (BE1) and have passed the first aid certificate of l’Attestation de Formation aux Premiers Secours (A.F.P.S.)
   

• The lady supervisors are in charge of entertainment outside soccer practices and bring a feminine touch for the youngest.
   

• Medical staff on site
  
   

This staff is specialized in the supervision of youth from 7 to 16 years old within the different structures of PSG during the course of the year. Hence the staff is best qualified to ensure each player’s progression.

 

Family and friends are invited to come and watch the last session on Friday afternoon and to attend the closing ceremony (delivery of diplomas and awards) that will take place in the auditorium. At the closing ceremony the trainees will be given their PSG Foot Academy diploma, their personalized technical assessment, and during which the winners of the different competitions will receive their awards.
