Exciting, high-quality attacking
football is a vision shared and taught by all coaches at Manchester
United... from the first team to the Academy sides.
In 2010, over
1,500 children from 75 different countries took part in a Manchester
United Soccer Schools residential course. The courses are based on
Manchester United’s Academy programme but are delivered in a way that
young players of all abilities can ‘Learn to Play the United Way’.
Manchester United Soccer Schools operates its residential courses in the
heart of the English countryside, providing a safe and secure
environment, with accommodation, meals and other leisure activities all
on one site. These fantastic courses will give each player a fascinating
insight into how Manchester United prepare their youngsters enabling
them to reach their optimum level of performance.
During your stay with
Manchester United Soccer Schools,
you'll be given
the opportunity to experience the Theatre of Dreams, Old Trafford
Manchester United Stadium, the
Manchester United Megastore and the Manchester United interactive Museum
(Friday).

soccer courses to meet the
developmental needs of young players across the following age groups:

Every six day course will be delivered using the
Manchester United Soccer Schools Development Model
with
top of the line Equipment.
Manchester United Soccer Schools is
delighted to be able to hold the Closing Presentation Ceremony inside the famous Old Trafford
Stadium, Manchester each Friday.

Each
Manchester United Soccer Schools participant
will have a shot at it
Compete in one of the skills
challenges and you could be walking out in front of 76,000 fans.
On Manchester United Soccer Schools Residential Courses you will take
part in a number of unique skills challenges. Designed using the club’s
coaches and players, these challenges are specifically tailored so all
participants, regardless of age, can compete on level terms.
One player from each MUSS Residential course will be selected to
experience a once in a lifetime prize at the World Skills Final held in
Manchester (around October/November). This event includes the following:

Tour of the Trafford Training Centre,
Carrington

Participate in the World Skills
competition

Play on the famous Old Trafford pitch
-
Attend a Premier League game
-
Watch Manchester United Academy games
The challenges are also a great
way to improve your skills. If you can practice these techniques in your
spare time you will give yourself a great chance of developing into a
better player.

Manchester United Soccer
Schools residential facility is located at
Denstone College
(Access Map),
south of Manchester, it has been carefully selected to
cater for the needs of individual and team players visiting from throughout the UK
or anywhere overseas. Set in 100 acres of beautiful countryside, Denstone
College is a safe and secure location boasts 7 full size grass pitches, 1
floodlit all weather pitch, an indoor sports hall, a swimming pool, tennis
courts and a golf course.
Manchester United Soccer Schools students
will be accommodated in the residences on site. Rooms are from
twin or Quad to 8 in a dormitories, with ample toilet and individual shower
facilities on each corridor. Bed linen is provided. Three cooked meals are provided each day
with a choice of menu always being available.

Manchester United Soccer
Schools recognises the specific needs of each player and offer the
following category of residential courses:
YOUTH PLAYER TRAINING COURSE:
17-18
An advanced, intensive
course gives older players a valuable insight
into the opportunities that arise by staying in
the game. As well as experiencing how Manchester
United prepare their youth players for that next
step, MUSS staff help the players create a
vision of how they can progress within the game
and the opportunities in football such as
coaching, sports science and nutrition.
SENIOR PLAYER TRAINING COURSE:
12-16
An intensive course designed
to take the players to the next level by improving their technique but
also developing their understanding of team shape, defensive
responsibilities and attacking principles using the Manchester United
philosophy.
JUNIOR PLAYER TRAINING COURSE:
8-11
This focuses on teaching the
fundamental techniques of the game and showing players how to master
these skills. Tailor-made for junior players with a fun and friendly
atmosphere, players live and breathe the game for a week. Players will
learn how to practice like their United heroes.
GIRLS TRAINING COURSE:
8-18 (1 week)
Girls from all over the
world can enjoy taking their soccer development
to a new level. The course focuses on the
technical, tactical, physical, mental and social
elements of the game and follows the fundamental
elements of Manchester United coaching
philosophy. This course will help girls striving
to reach their peak performance.
GOALKEEPER TRAINING COURSES: 8 - 16
(1 week)
The goalkeeper courses
focus on the technical, tactical, physical,
mental and social elements of the game,
developing players as individuals within 1v1
situations, as well as gaining an understanding
of working as a team both in defensive and
attacking situations. The sessions look at
positional sense, communication, handling,
footwork, distribution, crosses, organizational
skills, kicking, agility and flexibility.

MUSS understands the needs of young people travelling away from home. In
liaison with MUSS Child Protection Officer MUSS has a dedicated team to
care for the children on and off the field.

- Trip to Manchester United FC stadium (Old

Airport
Transfer Information:
Manchester United Soccer Schools provides a negotiated transfer service from Manchester
International (MAN) Airport to the residential facility. All transfers must be
pre-arranged. After collecting their luggage, students proceed
through customs. Make your way to the information desk at
arrivals. Students are then met by a representative of
Manchester United Soccer Schools who will be wearing MUSS
uniform and identification.
You will need to
inform us in writing of the arrival and departure time and flight
details
as soon as
possible.
On Arrival, flights need to arrive on Sundays between the hours of
7:00am and 3:00pm (15:00). No pick ups can be arranged for flights
arriving outside this time period, parents will need to make
arrangements outside this time frame with taxis or other private
transportation company.
For
departure on Fridays, flights need to depart between 11:00am and
9:00pm (21:00). (if you leave in the morning or midday you will miss
the trophy presentation at Old Trafford stadium (ends at 4:00pm) but
if you won any prizes during your stay they will be given to you before your
departure.)
No drop offs can be arranged for flights departing outside this time
period, parents will need to make arrangements outside this time
frame with taxis or other private transportation company.
It is
of vital importance that all necessary flight details are sent to
Soccer Camps International with the booking form or as soon as available.
Manchester United Soccer Schools
requires the exact flight information, including dates, airlines, flight
numbers,
arrival and departure terminal, and flight times.
