INTRODUCTION:
Clifton College, one
of the UK´s leading schools, and the world
famous Manchester United Soccer Schools,
have combined to offer a unique course where
young players can improve their
understanding of the English language and
develop their soccer skills at the same
time. This is the 4th year that this popular
course has been operating and we believe
that this is THE best program of its type in
the world.
This fantastic two
week program combines up to 20 hours of
soccer coaching per week with 12 hours of
high quality English language tuition. You
will also have plenty of time to relax and
enjoy the wonderful surroundings at Clifton
College.
You will also go on
a number of fantastic excursions - including
the home of Manchester United - Old Trafford
stadium!
The course is
designed for boys aged from 10 to 17 years
old and is open to players of all abilities.
You do not have to be a great player to
attend - but please come with lots of
enthusiasm and a desire to learn both soccer
and English language.
Clifton College is set in one
of the most beautiful areas of Bristol – one of
England’s leading cities. Almost 150 years old, Clifton
is one of the leading independent boarding schools in
the UK. You will live in one of the modern boarding
houses and live like a professional player for the
duration of the program.

Trafford stadium on the final Friday -
including stadium tour, museum tour,
visit to the megastore and end of course
presentation in the stadium!
- Enjoy an
excursion to Wembley Stadium - home of
the England soccer team. The tour
includes a visit to the dressing rooms,
museum and a walk up the famous “Wembley

World Skills Final
Ever wanted to play at Old Trafford?
Each
Manchester United Soccer Schools participant
will have a shot at it
Compete in one of the Manchester
United Soccer Schools skills tests and you could be
walking out in front of 76,000 fans. On every Manchester United
Soccer Schools Coaching Course you will take part in a
number of unique skills tests. Designed using the club's coaches and players, these
tests are specifically tailored so all participants, regardless of age,
can compete on level terms.
One player from each Manchester
United Soccer Schools course will be selected to compete in the World Skills Final which will be held at Manchester United
Stadium Old Trafford during a Manchester United game (around October /
November).

During the World Skill Final, you will be given the opportunity to win:

You will be staying at

Set in Bristol, Clifton College (Access
Map) offers a safe and secure location in the heart of the beautiful
area of Clifton. The superb sports facilities include 6 full size pitches,
floodlit Astroturf pitches, an indoor sports hall, swimming pool and

The soccer coaching
program is based upon the skills and techniques
used at the Manchester United Academy. You will
experience living, training and playing like the
youth players at Manchester United.
You will be coached by
highly-qualified Manchester United Soccer
Schools coaches throughout the course, who will
deliver an exciting and enjoyable programme.
Also during this course you will:

Typical weekly schedule
The English classes are
taught by The Language Project. This is a small
English language school in Clifton, which has
been teaching summer schools very successfully
at Clifton College for the last three years. All
the Soccer School classes are taught by a team
of qualified and enthusiastic teachers.
The first afternoon
class of each day is general English. The focus
of these classes is to help students communicate
naturally and learn useful vocabulary and
phrases on a different topic every day. The
classes include fun group activities and games
and our lesson booklets are developed especially
for kids and teenagers.
The second class in
each afternoon is called “The Football Hour” and
is all about football! The Language Project has
written some exciting booklets especially for
these classes. Students will have the chance to
communicate in English about famous players,
teams, stadiums and their own football
experiences.
Classes are normally
divided into teens (aged 13+) and kids (12 and
under). The maximum number of students per class
is 16. All students will receive an
end-of-course certificate with comments on their
performance in the classes.

Airport
Transfer Information:
MUSS Clifton College provides a negotiated transfer service from
Bristol
International (BRS) Airport to the residential facility. All transfers must be
pre-arranged
(arrivals between 12 noon and 17:00; departures between 08:00 and 12:00noon).
After collecting their luggage, students proceed through
customs. Students are then met by a representative of MUSS who
will be displaying a large sign or have a camp T-shirt.
You will need to
inform us in writing of the arrival and departure time and flight
details
as soon as
possible.
It is
of vital importance that all necessary flight/train details are sent to
Soccer Camps International with the booking form or as soon as available. MUSS
requires the exact flight information, including dates, airlines, flight
numbers,
arrival and departure terminal, and flight times.
