INTRODUCTION:

The FC Barcelona soccer camp is a unique and exciting opportunity for teens to experience specialized soccer training through an official partnership with the world’s most successful soccer team and their expert coaches. This camp is organized by Academic Study Associates (ASA) in partnership with FC Barcelona Soccer School.

Enjoy exclusive access to FCB training methods and facilities for a true Barça experience. In addition to world-class training, players participate in daily soccer-related workshops and enjoy cultural tours and visits. The camp welcome players ages 14 -18 (co-ed) who have a passion for the game and wish to develop technical skills, have fun and become the best player they possibly can.

FCBarcelona “More than a club”
Founded in 1899, FC Barcelona is the most recognized and legendary team in world soccer and is truly “more than a club.” FC Barcelona has a rich history of success and is one of the most decorated in terms of honors and accolades, enjoys worldwide support, and is committed to the highest standards on the field of play, as well as being a pioneer in off-the-pitch initiatives. For the season 2008/2009 FC Barcelona won an unprecedented 6 titles: Liga, Copa del Rey, Champions League, Super Cup, Club World Cup and the European Super Cup. FC Barcelona is important for what it represents to the city of Barcelona and the people of Catalonia, who truly treat the club as their national team.

FC Barcelona has an unrivaled reputation for the successful training and production of world-class players. Central to the success of the team is the philosophy of developing home grown players through the FCB youth academy who then go on to represent the first team.

Train the Barça Way
Train as champions train. Whether you are looking to earn a college scholarship, make your state program, earn a place on your club team, or simply ensure your spot on your varsity team, the FC Barcelona elite soccer program in partnership with ASA will help you reach your full potential and achieve your goals. Training is led by official coaches from FC Barcelona Soccer School and consists of 2 sessions per day, 5 days per week.

Hosted at FC Barcelona’s state-of-the-art Ciutat Esportiva (Sport City) training facilities, players will have privileged access to the various on-site artificial pitches and train in the very same place as the FC Barcelona first and reserve teams . The intense program of complete soccer training prepares young players from all over the world for the high demands of competitive club or high school soccer. Specialized training and individual attention with one coach for every 10 players maximizes the progression of each player during the 2-week program. Coaches are overseen by experienced technical directors and work closely on all aspects of your game: technical, tactical, physical, and psychological.

Goalkeeper Training
A specialized goalkeeping school is conducted under the guidance of a FC Barcelona goalkeeper coach. Complete technical and tactical goalkeeping training includes topics ranging from shot stopping and dealing with crosses, to 1v1s and distribution. Goalkeepers are integrated into small-sided games and full matches in order to hone decision-making skills.

This Elite Soccer Program is designed for those who play regular soccer to a good standard and is an intensive course. This Soccer Camp is only for players with strong soccer skills. Recreational and debutant soccer players will not be admitted. For those who do not play to such a high standard, we strongly recommend a more recreational sport camp instead.

The city of Barcelona and beyond

ASA staff is on hand to make sure you take advantage of your summer in Barcelona. Barcelona’s history enriches its vibrant modern cultural life and reputation for being cosmopolitan and cutting edge. The city lays claim to many important museums and galleries, whose Modernist architecture championed by Antoni Gaudí contrasts with the ultra-modern Olympic port and pristine beaches of the stunning Mediterranean coast. From the narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter to the modern shops and cafes of Passeig de Gràcia, Barcelona possesses a unique energy and style that make it one of the top destinations in all of Europe and ASA organize trips and visits throughout the 2 weeks.

Saturdays and Sundays will be assigned for regeneration, recovery time, and cultural excursions in Barcelona and beyond. Participants enjoy 2 full-day excursions, Theme Park and Sitges, and enjoy visits to Casa Batllo, La Pedrera, Sagrada Familia Cathedral, Picasso and Miró Museums, beaches, as well as a guided tour of the gothic quarter.
